2013 Floating Liquefied Natural Gas
PETRONAS Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (PFLNG) is a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility custom-built as a vessel to liquefy, produce, store and offload LNG.
It will play a significant role in PETRONAS' efforts to unlock the gas reserves in Malaysia's remote and stranded fields deemed uneconomical to develop and evacuate. With dwindling production and maturing fields, we have been exploring ways to develop new resources economically.
This led us to PFLNG — a versatile floating LNG facility comprising several square kilometers of production, processing and offloading facilities fit-to-purpose onto a compact 300-metre long structure. Limiting the need for extensive pipeliners or heavy infrastructures, the LNG can be extracted and monetised more efficiently. It is a mega-structure that will revolutionise the landscape of LNG production.
Halmax Group designed and built Ventilation Ducts and Exhaust Ducts for this project.
